NHS App

All patients with access to a smartphone, tablet or computer are encouraged to download the NHS App. The NHS App gives you a simple and secure way to access a range of NHS services. Download the NHS App on your smartphone or tablet via the Google play or App store. You must be aged 13 or over to use the NHS App. You also need to be registered with a GP surgery in England or the Isle of Man.

- View prescriptions, request repeat prescriptions and nominate a pharmacy
- Register with a GP Surgery
- Access your medical records
- View test results, consultation records, immunisations and documents such as hospital letters
- GP Appointments
- Book appointments at your surgery via the app
- Notifcations and messaging
- Receive in-app messages directly via the app
- Hospital referrals and appointments
- View and manage hospital referrals and outpatient appointments
- Contact your GP Surgery
- Contact your GP practice about a health problem or admin query
- Waiting times
- Patients aged 16 and over can see the average waiting time when they are referred into a speciality at an NHS acute trust
- Manage health services for smeone else
- Access medical services for a child or someone you care for (also known as linked profiles, proxy access or switching accounts)
Messages in the NHS App
Your GP Practice may send messages about your healt, test results, medical record or to invite you to a review via the NHS App.
